इदं वर्चो अग्निना दत्तम् आगन् भर्गो यशः सह ओजो वयो बलम् । त्रयस्त्रिंशद् यानि च वीर्याणि तान्य् अग्निः प्र ददातु मे ॥१॥
idaṃ varco agninā dattam āgan bhargo yaśaḥ saha ojo vayo balam | trayastriṃśad yāni ca vīryāṇi tāny agniḥ pra dadātu me ||1||
This splendor hath come, given by Agni, brightness (bhárga), glory, power, force, vigor (vájas), strength; and the heroisms that are thirty-three—those let Agni give forth to me.

वर्च आ धेहि मे तन्वां सह ओजो वयो बलम् । इन्द्रियाय त्वा कर्मणे वीर्याय प्रति गृह्णामि शतशारदाय ॥२॥
varca ā dhehi me tanvāṃ saha ojo vayo balam | indriyāya tvā karmaṇe vīryāya prati gṛhṇāmi śataśāradāya ||2||
Splendor set thou in my body (tanū́), power, force, vigor, strength; unto Indra-like action, unto heroism, unto [life] of a hundred autumns, do I accept thee.

ऊर्जे त्वा बलाय त्वौजसे सहसे त्वा । अभिभूयाय त्वा राष्ट्रभृत्याय पर्य् ऊहामि शतशारदाय ॥३॥
ūrje tvā balāya tvaujase sahase tvā | abhibhūyāya tvā rāṣṭrabhṛtyāya pary ūhāmi śataśāradāya ||3||
Unto refreshment thee, unto strength thee, unto force, unto power thee, unto superiority thee do I carry about, unto the wearing of royalty for a hundred autumns.

ऋतुभ्यष् ट्वार्तवेभ्यो माद्भ्यः संवत्सरेभ्यः । धात्रे विधात्रे समृधे भूतस्य पतये यजे ॥४॥
ṛtubhyaṣ ṭvārtavebhyo mādbhyaḥ saṃvatsarebhyaḥ | dhātre vidhātre samṛdhe bhūtasya pataye yaje ||4||
Thee with the seasons, with them of the seasons; thee unto lifetime, unto splendor; with the brilliancy of the year—with that we make [thee] cheek by jowl.
