Atharvaveda Saṃhitā (Śaunaka) 20.140

yan nāsatyā bhuraṇyatho yad vā deva bhiṣajyathaḥ | ayaṃ vāṃ vatso matibhir na vindhate haviṣmantaṃ hi gachathaḥ ||1||

What force, Nasatyas, ye exert, whatever, Gods, ye tend and heal, This your own Vatsa gains not by his hymns alone: ye visit him who offers gifts.

Translated by Ralph T. H. Griffith (1896)This is the translator's rendering of the same verse where it occurs at RV 8.9.6; the wording of this text may differ in places.

ā nūnam aśvinor ṛṣi stomaṃ ciketa vāmayā | ā somaṃ madhumattamaṃ gharmaṃ siñcād atharvaṇi ||2||

Now hath the Rsi splendidly thought out the Asvins' hymn of praise. Let the Atharvan pour the warm oblation forth, and Soma very rich in sweets.

Translated by Ralph T. H. Griffith (1896)This is the translator's rendering of the same verse where it occurs at RV 8.9.7; the wording of this text may differ in places.

ā nūnaṃ raghuvartaniṃ rathaṃ tiṣṭhātho aśvinā | ā vāṃ stomā ime mama nabho na cucyavīrata ||3||

Ye Asvins, now ascend your car that lightly rolls upon its way. May these my praises make you speed hitherward like a cloud of heaven.

Translated by Ralph T. H. Griffith (1896)This is the translator's rendering of the same verse where it occurs at RV 8.9.8; the wording of this text may differ in places.

yad adya vāṃ nāsatyokthair ācucyuvīmahi | yad vā vāṇībhir aśvinevet kaṇvasya bodhatam ||4||

When, O Nasatyas, we this day make you speed hither with our hymns, Or, Asvins, with our songs of praise, remember Kanya specially.

Translated by Ralph T. H. Griffith (1896)This is the translator's rendering of the same verse where it occurs at RV 8.9.9; the wording of this text may differ in places.

yad vāṃ kakṣīvāṃ uta yad vyaśva ṛṣir yad vāṃ dīrghatamā juhāva | pṛthī yad vāṃ vainyaḥ sādaneṣv eved ato aśvinā cetayethām ||5||

As erst Kaksivan and the Rsi Vyasva, as erst Dirghatamas invoked your presence, Or, in the sacrificial chambers, Vainya Prthi, so be ye mindful of us here, O Asvins.

Translated by Ralph T. H. Griffith (1896)This is the translator's rendering of the same verse where it occurs at RV 8.9.10; the wording of this text may differ in places.
