उद् उ त्ये मधु मत्तमा गिर स्तोमास ईरते । सत्राजितो धनसा अक्षितोतयो वाजयन्तो रथा इव ॥१॥

ud u tye madhu mattamā gira stomāsa īrate | satrājito dhanasā akṣitotayo vājayanto rathā iva ||1||

These songs of ours exceeding sweet, these hymns of praise ascend to thee, Like ever-conquering chariots that display their strength, gain wealth, and give unfailing aid.

AVŚ 20.59.2

कण्वा इव भृगवः सूर्य इव विश्वम् इद् धीतम् आनशुः । इन्द्रं स्तोमेभिर् महयन्त आयवः प्रियमेधासो अस्वरन् ॥२॥

kaṇvā iva bhṛgavaḥ sūrya iva viśvam id dhītam ānaśuḥ | indraṃ stomebhir mahayanta āyavaḥ priyamedhāso asvaran ||2||

The Bhrgus are like Suns, like Kanvas, and have gained all that their thoughts were bent upon. The living men of Priyamedha's race have sung exalting Indra with their lauds.

उद् इन् न्व् अस्य रिच्यते ऽंशो धनं न जिग्युसः । य इन्द्रो हरिवान् न दभन्ति तं रिपो दक्षं दधाति सोमिनि ॥३॥

ud in nv asya ricyate 'ṃśo dhanaṃ na jigyusaḥ | ya indro harivān na dabhanti taṃ ripo dakṣaṃ dadhāti somini ||3||

His portion is exceeding great like a victorious soldier's spoil. Him who is Indra, Lord of Bays, no foes subdue. He gives the Soma-pourer strength.

AVŚ 20.59.4

मन्त्रम् अखर्वं सुधितं सुपेशसं दधात यज्ञियेष्व् आ । पूर्वीश् चन प्रसितयस् तरन्ति तं य इन्द्रे कर्मणा भुवत् ॥४॥

mantram akharvaṃ sudhitaṃ supeśasaṃ dadhāta yajñiyeṣv ā | pūrvīś cana prasitayas taranti taṃ ya indre karmaṇā bhuvat ||4||

Make for the Holy Gods a hymn that is not mean, but well-arranged and fair of form. Even many snares and bonds subdue not him who dwells with Indra through his sacrifice.
