भूतो भूतेषु पय आ दधाति स भूतानाम् अधिपतिर् बभूव । तस्य मृत्युश् चरति राजसूयं स राजा अनु मन्यताम् इदं ॥१॥
bhūto bhūteṣu paya ā dadhāti sa bhūtānām adhipatir babhūva | tasya mṛtyuś carati rājasūyaṃ sa rājā anu manyatām idaṃ ||1||
The being (bhūtá) sets milk in beings; he has become the overlord of beings; Death attends (car) the royal consecration (rājasū́ya) of him; let him, as king, approve this royalty.

अभि प्रेहि माप वेन उग्रश् चेत्ता सपत्नहा । आ तिष्ठ मित्रवर्धन तुभ्यम् देवा अधि ब्रुवन् ॥२॥
abhi prehi māpa vena ugraś cettā sapatnahā | ā tiṣṭha mitravardhana tubhyam devā adhi bruvan ||2||
Go forward unto [it]; do not long (? ven) away, a stern (ugrá) corrector (cettár), rival-slayer; approach (ā-sthā), O increaser of friends; may the gods bless (adhi-brū) thee.

आतिष्ठन्तं परि विश्वे अभूषं छ्रियं वसानश् चरति स्वरोचिः । महत् तद् वृष्णो असुरस्य नामा विश्वरूपो अमृतानि तस्थौ ॥३॥
ātiṣṭhantaṃ pari viśve abhūṣaṃ chriyaṃ vasānaś carati svarociḥ | mahat tad vṛṣṇo asurasya nāmā viśvarūpo amṛtāni tasthau ||3||
Him approaching all waited upon (pari-bhūṣ); clothing himself in fortune, he goes about (car), having own brightness; great is that name of the virile (vṛ́ṣan) Asura; having all forms, he approached immortal things.

व्याघ्रो अधि वैयाघ्रे वि क्रमस्व दिशो महीः । विशस् त्वा सर्वा वाञ्छन्त्व् आपो दिव्याः पयस्वतीः ॥४॥
vyāghro adhi vaiyāghre vi kramasva diśo mahīḥ | viśas tvā sarvā vāñchantv āpo divyāḥ payasvatīḥ ||4||
A tiger, upon the tiger's [skin], do thou stride out unto the great quarters; let all the people (víças) want thee, the waters of heaven, rich in milk.

या आपो दिव्याः पयसा मदन्त्य् अन्तरिक्ष उत वा पृथिव्याम् । तासां त्वा सर्वासाम् अपाम् अभि षिञ्चामि वर्चसा ॥५॥
yā āpo divyāḥ payasā madanty antarikṣa uta vā pṛthivyām | tāsāṃ tvā sarvāsām apām abhi ṣiñcāmi varcasā ||5||
The waters of heaven that revel with milk, in the atmosphere or also on the earth—with the splendor of all those waters do I pour upon (abhi-sic) thee.

अभि त्वा वर्चसासिचन्न् आपो दिव्याः पयस्वतीः । यथासो मित्रवर्धनस् तथा त्वा सविता करत् ॥६॥
abhi tvā varcasāsicann āpo divyāḥ payasvatīḥ | yathāso mitravardhanas tathā tvā savitā karat ||6||
The heavenly waters, rich in milk, have poured upon thee with splendor; that thou be an increaser of friends, so shall Savitar make thee.

एना व्याघ्रं परिषस्वजानाः सिंहं हिन्वन्ति महते सौभगाय । समुद्रं न सुभुवस् तस्थिवांसं मर्मृज्यन्ते द्वीपिनम् अप्स्व् अन्तः ॥७॥
enā vyāghraṃ pariṣasvajānāḥ siṃhaṃ hinvanti mahate saubhagāya | samudraṃ na subhuvas tasthivāṃsaṃ marmṛjyante dvīpinam apsv antaḥ ||7||
Thus, embracing the tiger, they incite (hi) the lion unto great good-fortune; as the well-being ones (subhū́) the ocean that stands, do they rub thoroughly down the leopard amid the waters.
