asthisraṃsaṃ parusraṃsam āsthitam hṛdayāmayam | balāsaṃ sarvaṃ nāśayāṅgeṣṭhā yaś ca parvasu ||1||
The bone-dissolving, joint-dissolving, settled (ā́sthita) heart disease, all the balā́sa, cause thou to disappear, that is seated in the limbs and in the joints.
Translated by William Dwight Whitney (1905)
निर् बलासं बलासिनः क्षिणोमि मुष्करं यथा । छिनद्म्य् अस्य बन्धनं मूलम् उर्वार्वा इव ॥२॥
nir balāsaṃ balāsinaḥ kṣiṇomi muṣkaraṃ yathā | chinadmy asya bandhanaṃ mūlam urvārvā iva ||2||
The balā́sa of him that has balā́sa I destroy like a muṣkará; I cut its bond like the root of a gourd.
Translated by William Dwight Whitney (1905)
निर् बलासेतः प्र पताशुङ्गः शिशुको यथा । अथो इत इव हायनो ऽप द्राह्य् अवीरहा ॥३॥
nir balāsetaḥ pra patāśuṅgaḥ śiśuko yathā | atho ita iva hāyano 'pa drāhy avīrahā ||3||
Fly out forth from here, O balā́sa, like a young āçuṁgá; then, like the [last] year's bulrush, scud away, innocuous to heroes.
Translated by William Dwight Whitney (1905)
