इष्ट-वर्ग-प्रकृत्योस् यद् विवरम् तेन वा भजेत्।[अनुष्टुभ्-च्द्; अब्=६४च्द्] द्वि-घ्नम् इष्टम् कनिष्ठम् तद् पदम् स्यात् एक-संयुतौ। ततस् ज्येष्ठम् इह आनन्त्यम् भावनातस् तथा इष्टतस्॥[अनुष्टुभ्]
iṣṭa-varga-prakṛtyos yad vivaram tena vā bhajet/[anuṣṭubh-cd; ab=64cd] dvi-ghnam iṣṭam kaniṣṭham tad padam syāt eka-saṃyutau/ tatas jyeṣṭham iha ānantyam bhāvanātas tathā iṣṭatas//[anuṣṭubh]
