तस्य प्रथमया स्वरमात्रया पृथिवीम् अग्निम् ओषधिवनस्पतीन् ऋग्वेदं भूर् इति व्याहृतिं गायत्रं छन्दस् त्रिवृतं स्तोमं प्राचीं दिशं वसन्तम् ऋतुं वाचम् अध्यात्मं जिह्वां रसम् इतीन्द्रियाण्य् अन्वभवत् ॥ १७ ॥
tasya prathamayā svaramātrayā pṛthivīm agnim oṣadhivanaspatīn ṛgvedaṃ bhūr iti vyāhṛtiṃ gāyatraṃ chandas trivṛtaṃ stomaṃ prācīṃ diśaṃ vasantam ṛtuṃ vācam adhyātmaṃ jihvāṃ rasam itīndriyāṇy anvabhavat || 17 ||
