इच्छा-वृद्धौ फले ह्रासस् ह्रासे वृद्धिस् च जायते। व्यस्तम् त्रैराशिकम् तत्र ज्ञेयम् गणित-कोविदैस्॥ यत्र इच्छा-वृद्धौ फले ह्रासस् ह्रासे वा फल-वृद्धिस् तत्र व्यस्त-त्रैराशिकम्। तत् यथा।
icchā-vṛddhau phale hrāsas hrāse vṛddhis ca jāyate/ vyastam trairāśikam tatra jñeyam gaṇita-kovidais// yatra icchā-vṛddhau phale hrāsas hrāse vā phala-vṛddhis tatra vyasta-trairāśikam/ tat yathā/
