RV 4.5.5

अभ्रातरो न योषणो व्यन्तः पतिरिपो न जनयो दुरेवाः । पापासः सन्तो अनृता असत्या इदम् पदम् अजनता गभीरम् ॥

abhrātaro na yoṣaṇo vyantaḥ patiripo na janayo durevāḥ | pāpāsaḥ santo anṛtā asatyā idam padam ajanatā gabhīram ||

Devanagari rendered by HREEM from the edition's roman (IAST) text; the IAST is the edition's own.

Like youthful women without brothers, straying, like dames who hate their lords, of evil conduct, They who are full of sin, untrue, unfaithful, they have engendered this abysmal station.

Translated by Ralph T. H. Griffith (1896)
