Play·Sanskrit
The letters, as a game.
Four short games, ordered the way reading is learned: hear the sounds, see how a vowel sign changes a consonant, rebuild real words from the Gītā one akṣara at a time, then test memory. The words change daily and every one of them is drawn from a verse you can go on to read.
01 · Hear the letter
A letter is spoken; find it. Work row by row: each row is one place in the mouth.

02 · The mātrā wheel
Every consonant carries an “a” until a vowel sign changes it. Choose a consonant and turn the wheel.

क on its own says ka. Add the sign nothing and it says ka. The sign for अ is the inherent vowel: no mark at all.
03 · Build the word
A real Gītā word, broken into its akṣaras and shuffled. Tap them back into order; the meaning appears when the word is whole.
