एकान्ते स्थितः श्रोणः कोटिकर्ण आयुष्मन्तं महाकात्यायनमिदमवोचत्--लभेयाहमार्यमहाकात्यायन स्वाख्याते धर्मविनये प्रव्रज्याम्, यावच्चरेयाहं भगवतो ऽन्तिके ब्रह्मचर्यम्।
ekānte sthitaḥ śroṇaḥ koṭikarṇa āyuṣmantaṃ mahākātyāyanamidamavocat--labheyāhamāryamahākātyāyana svākhyāte dharmavinaye pravrajyām, yāvaccareyāhaṃ bhagavato 'ntike brahmacaryam/
