ते कथयन्ति--अस्ति श्रमणो गौतमः शाक्यपुत्रः शाक्यकुलात्केशश्मश्रूण्यवतार्य काषायाणि वस्त्राणि आच्छाद्य सम्यगेव श्रद्धया अगारादनगारिकां प्रव्रजितः।
