उपसंक्रम्य भगवतः पादौ शिरसा वन्दित्वा एकान्ते स्थिताः। एकान्तस्थितास्ते ऋषयो भगवन्तमिदमवोचन्--लभेमहि वयं भदन्त स्वाख्याते धर्मविनये प्रव्रज्यामुपसंपदं भिक्षुभावम्।
upasaṃkramya bhagavataḥ pādau śirasā vanditvā ekānte sthitāḥ/ ekāntasthitāste ṛṣayo bhagavantamidamavocan--labhemahi vayaṃ bhadanta svākhyāte dharmavinaye pravrajyāmupasaṃpadaṃ bhikṣubhāvam/
