स च ब्राह्मणस् तत्केशेषु शिरः समवलम्ब्य तस्माद् उपवनान् निर्गन्तुम् आरेभे । ततो भद्रशिलानिवासी जनः शोकवशाद् एवम् उवाच । सिंहासनस्थस्य नृपस्य भृत्यैर् यद् उन्मुखैर् दृष्टम् उदीर्णहर्षैः । तन् नीयते म्लानसरोरुहाभं द्विजेन केशेषु शिरो गृहीतम्
sa ca brāhmaṇas tatkeśeṣu śiraḥ samavalambya tasmād upavanān nirgantum ārebhe | tato bhadraśilānivāsī janaḥ śokavaśād evam uvāca | siṃhāsanasthasya nṛpasya bhṛtyair yad unmukhair dṛṣṭam udīrṇaharṣaiḥ / tan nīyate mlānasaroruhābhaṃ dvijena keśeṣu śiro gṛhītam
