समय-शब्दात् तत् इति प्रथमासमर्थाद् अस्य इति षष्ठ्यर्थे ठञ् प्रत्ययो भवति, यत् तत्प्रथमासमर्थं प्राप्तं चेद् तद् भवति । समयः प्राप्तो ऽस्य सामयिकं कार्यम् । उपनतकालम् इत्य् अर्थः । समर्थविभक्ति-निर्देश उत्तरार्थः ॥ ऋतोरण्
samaya-śabdāt tat iti prathamāsamarthād asya iti ṣaṣṭhyarthe ṭhañ pratyayo bhavati, yat tatprathamāsamarthaṃ prāptaṃ ced tad bhavati / samayaḥ prāpto 'sya sāmayikaṃ kāryam / upanatakālam ity arthaḥ / samarthavibhakti-nirdeśa uttarārthaḥ // ṛtoraṇ
