विशेषार्थी चागतस् ततो विशेषम् अ:पस्यन्न् आगन्तु-कामो मयि मां जिज्ञासितु-कामः सा आगत्य सानुरागत्वाद् दास्यति। तस्यां वा दोषान् दृष्ट्वा मयि भूयिष्ठान् गुणान् अधुना पश्यति स गुण-दर्शी भूयिष्ठं दस्याति [४अ]।
viśeṣārthī cāgatas tato viśeṣam a:pasyann āgantu-kāmo mayi māṃ jijñāsitu-kāmaḥ sā āgatya sānurāgatvād dāsyati. tasyāṃ vā doṣān dṛṣṭvā mayi bhūyiṣṭhān guṇān adhunā paśyati sa guṇa-darśī bhūyiṣṭhaṃ dasyāti [4a].
