स्वस्माल्लक्षणाच्च्युतं वृत्तं यस्मिंस्तत् स्वलक्षणच्युतं वाक्यं भिन्नवृत्तम् । यथा ---- अयि पश्यसि सौधमाश्रितामविरलसुमनोमालभारिणीम् ॥ वैतालीययुग्मपादे लघ्वक्षराणां पण्णां नैरन्तर्यं निपिद्धम् । तच्च कृतमिति भिन्नवृत्तत्वम्
