ब्रह्म ह देवेभ्यो विजिग्ये तस्य ह ब्रह्मणो विजये देवा अमहीयन्त
The Brahman once won a victory for the Devas. Through that victory of the Brahman, the Devas became elated. They thought, "This victory is ours. This glory is ours."

Brahman obtained the victory for the Devas. The Devas became elated by the victory of Brah man, and they thought, this victory is ours only, this greatness is ours only.
