न तावल् लिङ्गम् अविदितसम्बन्धं तदवधारणे प्रमाणम्, इतरेतराश्रयं हि तथा स्याद् इत्य् अभिप्रायेणाह -- तदानीम् इति। अतो ऽवश्यं तद्ग्रहणे प्रमाणान्तरम् अर्थनीयम् इत्य् आह -- तत्रेति

na tāval liṅgam aviditasambandhaṃ tadavadhāraṇe pramāṇam, itaretarāśrayaṃ hi tathā syād ity abhiprāyeṇāha -- tadānīm iti. ato 'vaśyaṃ tadgrahaṇe pramāṇāntaram arthanīyam ity āha -- tatreti
