देवा वै श्रियम् ऐच्छंस् तां न प्रथमे ऽहन्य् अविन्दन् न द्वितीये न तृतीये तां चतुर्थे ऽहन्य् अविन्दन् विन्दते श्रियं य एवं वेदाग्नेर् इति पञ्चमस्य तेनो श्रीः प्रत्युपोदितेत्य् आहुः

devā vai śriyam aicchaṃs tāṃ na prathame 'hany avindan na dvitīye na tṛtīye tāṃ caturthe 'hany avindan vindate śriyaṃ ya evaṃ vedāgner iti pañcamasya teno śrīḥ pratyupoditety āhuḥ
