यथा ललित-माधवे (७।७)- औदासीन्य-धुरा-परीत-हृदयः काठिन्यम् आलम्बतां कामं श्यामल-सुन्दरो मयि सखि स्वैरी सहस्रं समाः । किन्तु भ्रान्ति-भराद् अपि क्षणम् इदं तत्र प्रियेभ्यः प्रिये चेतो जन्मनि जन्मनि प्रणयिताद् आस्यं न मे हास्यति
