तद् ईदृश-गुणोपेतं नाटकं भुक्ति-मुक्तिदम् । तथा च भरतः- धर्मार्थ-साधनं नाट्यं सर्व-दुःखापनोद-कृत् । आसेवध्वं तद् ऋषयस् तस्योत्थानं तु नाटकम् ॥इति॥ नाटकस्य तु पूर्णादि-भेदाः केचन कल्पिताः
tad īdṛśa-guṇopetaṃ nāṭakaṃ bhukti-muktidam | tathā ca bharataḥ- dharmārtha-sādhanaṃ nāṭyaṃ sarva-duḥkhāpanoda-kṛt | āsevadhvaṃ tad ṛṣayas tasyotthānaṃ tu nāṭakam ||iti|| nāṭakasya tu pūrṇādi-bhedāḥ kecana kalpitāḥ
