किं नु ध्वान्त-पयोधिर् एष कतक-क्षोदैर् इवेन्दोः करैर् अत्यच्छो ऽयम् अधश् च पङ्कम् अखिलं छायापदेशाद् अभूत् । किं वा तत्-कर-कर्तरीभिर् अभितो निस्तक्षणाद् उज्ज्वलं व्योमैवेदम् इतस् ततश् च पतिताश् छाया-छलेन त्वचः
kiṃ nu dhvānta-payodhir eṣa kataka-kṣodair ivendoḥ karair atyaccho 'yam adhaś ca paṅkam akhilaṃ chāyāpadeśād abhūt / kiṃ vā tat-kara-kartarībhir abhito nistakṣaṇād ujjvalaṃ vyomaivedam itas tataś ca patitāś chāyā-chalena tvacaḥ
