शीर्षच्छेद-शब्दाद् द्वितीयासमर्थान् नित्यम् अर्हति इत्य् अस्मिन्न् अर्थे यत् प्रत्ययो भवति । चकाराद् यथाविहितं च । शिरश्छेदं नित्यम् अर्हति शीर्षच्छेद्यः, शैर्षच्छेदिकः । प्रत्ययसंनियोगेन शिरसः शीर्षभावो निपात्यते ॥ दण्दादिभ्यः
śīrṣaccheda-śabdād dvitīyāsamarthān nityam arhati ity asminn arthe yat pratyayo bhavati / cakārād yathāvihitaṃ ca / śiraśchedaṃ nityam arhati śīrṣacchedyaḥ, śairṣacchedikaḥ / pratyayasaṃniyogena śirasaḥ śīrṣabhāvo nipātyate // daṇdādibhyaḥ
