न वै बृहन् न रथन्तरम् एकं छन्दो ऽयच्छत् ततः ककुभाव् उत्तरे उपादधुस् तस्माद् बृहती प्रथमा ककुभाव् उत्तरे तस्माद् बृहद्रथन्तरे एकर्चेन कुर्वन्ति न हि ते एकं छन्दो ऽयच्छत्

na vai bṛhan na rathantaram ekaṃ chando 'yacchat tataḥ kakubhāv uttare upādadhus tasmād bṛhatī prathamā kakubhāv uttare tasmād bṛhadrathantare ekarcena kurvanti na hi te ekaṃ chando 'yacchat
