अथैतस्मिन् प्रस्तावे स्थिरजीवी चिन्तयामास-यद् एतेऽस्मच् छत्रवो ऽनुलब्धास्मद्-वृत्तान्ता यथागतम् एव यान्ति ततो मया न किञ्चित् कृतं भवति । उक्तं च- अनारम्भो हि कार्याणां प्रथमं बुद्धि-लक्षणम् । आरब्धस्यान्त-गमनं द्वितीयं बुद्धि-लक्षणम्
athaitasmin prastāve sthirajīvī cintayāmāsa-yad ete'smac chatravo 'nulabdhāsmad-vṛttāntā yathāgatam eva yānti tato mayā na kiñcit kṛtaṃ bhavati | uktaṃ ca- anārambho hi kāryāṇāṃ prathamaṃ buddhi-lakṣaṇam | ārabdhasyānta-gamanaṃ dvitīyaṃ buddhi-lakṣaṇam
